My name is Dylaina, pronounced "duh-lay-nuh" but everyone calls me Dee. I’m a 20-something-year-old photographer, wife, and cat mom currently living life in a rainy little pocket of BC. Things I love: watching Friends, listening to Charlotte Cardin, eating lots of chinese food, and photographing couples and families who trust me.

Taking photos has been a passion for me since the day my parents handed me their camera as a kid. It’s a crazy feeling to be chosen to document the biggest days of someone’s life, and I treat it like it’s the most important job in the world—because to me, it is. I’m here to capture an experience that is equally as important as the photos that document it. All that can’t eat, can’t sleep, messy, raw, vulnerable kind of stuff.

Love is love, and every couple deserves to have their story told with honor, respect, and joy. I pride myself on creating a space where all couples can feel seen, heard, and celebrated.

Oh hey, i'm Dylaina & my passion has always been photography.

hiring Dylaina was a no brainer!

"you shouldn't need convincing that she is the one to trust with your most precious moments. Hire her and you'll be just as obsessed with your photos as we are"

Growing up, I never thought about the possibility of photography being anything other than a passion. After many years of taking photos just for fun, I realized it could be so much more than that. With my diploma in graphic design being put on the backburner, a full force career in photography fell into my lap.

There is nothing harder than experiencing the loss of loved ones. After losing family and friends near and dear to my heart, I found myself scrounging for photos to hold onto the memory of them.

how it all began

My full story

This truly opened my eyes to the truth that photos hold such a deep significance after someone is gone. Acting as a tangible connection to the person who has passed. Serving as a visual reminder of memories, moments, and experiences shared with that loved one, helping to preserve their essence and legacy forever.

This is one of the many reason's why I believe this job is so so important. You never know when it's going to be the last photo, the last moment, you share with someone.
